Wombid for ServiceM8

Win back past customers from your own ServiceM8 records. Wombid finds the quotes that went quiet, the services falling due and the customers you have not seen in about a year, and texts each one personally in your name once you approve. This page covers everything: buying, connecting, approving, the send window and disconnecting.

What the add-on does

The add-on runs the Wombid Win-Back Campaign from your ServiceM8 job history. Wombid connects to your ServiceM8 account read-only and finds up to 100 people worth a message from the last 24 months: quotes that never went ahead, services falling due, and customers you have not seen in about a year. It drafts one short, personal text for each, in your business's name, and sends only the messages you approve. Replies come straight to your phone.

Platforms: the add-on runs against your ServiceM8 account in the background. Your only interfaces are a one-step web connect page and your email inbox. There is nothing to install inside ServiceM8, nothing new to learn on the tools, and Wombid never writes to your ServiceM8 account.

Before you connect

  1. A Wombid Win-Back Campaign. A$149 one-off, GST included, billed by Wombid, not through ServiceM8. No plan and no subscription needed. Start one at wombid.com.au/win-back. The add-on itself is free to install.
  2. Or an active Wombid Growth or Marketing Pro subscription. It connects ServiceM8 too. Plans are at wombid.com.au/#pricing.

Connecting (about two minutes)

  1. Click Connect on the Wombid add-on in ServiceM8, or open sm8.wombid.com.au/activate, and enter the email you used with Wombid.
  2. We email you a secure link. Open it where you are signed in to ServiceM8 and confirm.
  3. ServiceM8 shows you exactly what Wombid may access: your company information and read-only access to jobs and job contacts. A later store update will also request read-only job SMS, email and feedback history (read_sms, read_email, read_feedback), used only to avoid sending a second review request. Wombid cannot see invoices, payments, prices or staff details.
  4. Approve, and you land on a page confirming ServiceM8 is connected. Done.

Approving your texts

Wombid drafts one short, personal text for each person, in your business's name, referring to their real job or quote. Every message arrives in one approval email, word for word, exactly as it will send. Approve the campaign with one click or decline it, and reply to that email to change anything. Nothing sends until you approve.

The send window

Approved texts go out as a steady drip, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Sydney time, from a number your customers can reply to. Replies come straight to your phone. At the end you get a plain-English results report.

The built-in rules

What your customer receives

One short text in your business's name that refers to their real job or quote, from a number they can reply to, with a clear way to opt out. No follow-up chase. Read the exact texts at wombid.com.au/winback-texts.

Coming soon: Google review requests

Coming soon: an optional Google review request when a job is marked Completed. It stays off until you switch it on, and if you already use ServiceM8's own review requests, keep them and leave Wombid's off: pick one, so your customers are only asked once. Growth and Marketing Pro include Google review requests today: mark a job done with one tap from any phone and Wombid texts that customer your Google review link.

How to choose

Already use ServiceM8's own review requests? Keep them, and leave Wombid's switched off. Wombid's are an alternative for Growth and Pro: pick one, so your customers are only asked once. You cannot usefully run both.

When the ServiceM8 option arrives, it stays off until you switch it on in your Wombid review setup, and you can switch it off there any time. Switching it off keeps ServiceM8 connected and leaves your Win-Back Campaign as it is.

Today Wombid cannot see ServiceM8's own review requests: the read-only permissions that would show them (job SMS, email and feedback history) come in a later store update. Until then the choice is yours: if ServiceM8 is already asking your customers, leave Wombid's off, or turn off ServiceM8's own review requests before you switch Wombid's on. We do not walk you through ServiceM8's settings.

If Wombid's sender is on, each completed job gets one short, honest text asking for a Google review, with firm limits: at most 25 requests a day, never the same customer twice in 30 days, STOP honoured permanently, and never a request for five stars.

Disconnecting

Use the disconnect link in your ServiceM8 connect email, or email hello@wombid.com.au. Disconnecting takes effect immediately: Wombid's access to your ServiceM8 account is deleted, so it reads nothing more from it, the account link is removed, and any Win-Back Campaign that has not finished is cancelled, so none of its unsent texts go out. Everything else you have with Wombid keeps working. You can reconnect any time from the Wombid add-on in ServiceM8.
